A probe (1A) is provided with an edge part (2) at the end of the probe (1A) to be brought into contact with a pad electrode (5). The edge part (2) has a blade edge (2a) in one plane parallel with the direction in which the edge part (2) slides on the pad electrode (5) while being in contact with the pad electrode. The blade edge (2a) has a shape that it is nearer to the pad electrode (5) from the front toward the rear in the direction where the edge part (2) slides on the pad electrode (5). Since the edge blade (2a) cuts into an insulation film (7) formed on the pad electrode (5), good electrical connection between the probe (1A) and the pad electrode (5) is ensured, thus providing a probe card device.
