This invention involves the use of plastic or another type of material for decreasing sensitivity to soil water and salt content, and the use of a component such as a coaxial cable, 75/300 ohm transformer and 300 ohm cable to produce a marketable probe. In reflection (TDR) or transmission (network analyser) mode, such a probe can be used to measure soil water content in a representative manner, without interference from salts or other chemicals in the soil.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un matériau plastique ou autre permettant de diminier la sensibilité au contenu en eau et en sel d'un sol, et l'utilisation de composante tel qu'un câble coaxial, transformateur 75-300 ohms et câble 300 ohms afin de réaliser une sonde commercialement acceptable. Une telle sonde en mode de réflexion (TDR) ou en mode de transmission (analyseur réseau) permet la mesure d'eau du sol, de façon représentative et sans l'influence des sels et autres produits chimiques contenus dans ce dernier.
