The invention relates to a method for controlling a fume treatment centre (FTC) (23), scrubbing the baking fumes from a rotary baking furnace (1), in which the fumes are drawn in through at least one suction manifold (11) of the baking furnace (1) and collected in a duct (20, 20') that conveys said fumes to the fume treatment centre (23). The fume treatment centre includes a tower (24) which sprays water into the fumes in order to cool same and a least one reactor (25) for the physico-chemical neutralisation of the fumes, comprising contact with a reagent powder, such as alumina, followed by filtering (36) of the loaded reagent and the fume dust and recycling in the reactor (25) of at least one fraction of the filtered reagent and mixing of same with fresh reagent. The method includes at least the following steps: the flow of water in the cooling tower (24) is adjusted and/or the flow and/or recycling rate of the reagent in the reactor (25) is adjusted as a function of at least one parameter indicating the level of pollution of the fumes at the inlet of the fume treatment centre (23). The invention can be used for baking carbon cathodes and anodes for aluminium electrolysis.
Le procédé commande le centre (23) de traitement des fumées (CTF) épurant les fumées de cuisson d'un four (1) à cuire (FAC) à feu tournant dont les fumées sont aspirées par au moins une rampe (11) d'aspiration du FAC (1) et collectées dans un conduit (20, 20') les dirigeant au CTF (23) comportant une tour (24) de refroidissement des fumées par pulvérisation d'eau dans les fumées, et au moins un réacteur (25) de neutralisation physico-chimique des fumées par mise en contact avec un réactif pulvérulent, tel l'alumine, puis filtrage (36) du réactif chargé et des poussières des fumées, et recyclage dans le réacteur (25) d'au moins une fraction du réactif filtré et son mélange à du réactif frais, le procédé comprenant au moins les étapes consistant à réguler le débit d'eau dans la tour (24) de refroidissement, et/ou réguler le débit et/ou le taux de recyclage du réactif dans le réacteur (25), en fonction d'au moins un paramètre indicateur d'un niveau de pollution des fumées à l'entrée du CTF (23). Application à la cuisson des anodes et cathodes en carbones pour l'électrolyse de l'aluminium.
