The invention concerns a method and an apparatus for concentrating a particulate matter, comprising at least two constituents of different mass densities, which consists in: subjecting a pulp (15) of said particulate material to centrifuging in a centrifuging chamber (11), injecting tangentially a fluid (16) into the pulp to generate therein centripetal pulses and in drawing from the chamber a dense fraction (20) and a light fraction (17).
Procédé et appareil pour la concentration d'une matière particulaire, comprenant au moins deux constituants de masses volumiques différentes, dans lesquels on soumet une pulpe (15) de la matière particulaire à une centrifugation dans une chambre de centrifugation (11) , on injecte tangentiellement un fluide (16) dans la pulpe pour y engendrer des pulsations centripètes et on soutire de la chambre une fraction dense (20) et une fraction légère (17) .
