The invention relates to a procedure and an apparatus for wrapping a straw fodder bale with plastic foil. In the procedure, the bale is taken up into the wrapping apparatus by means of working arms (4) by pressing the bale by its long sides between squeeze plates (10) provided at the second ends of the working arms. The bale is wrapped with plastic foil between the working arms either by rotating the bale by means of the squeeze plates (10) and a rotation means (11) or by driving the plastic foil rolls (7, 8) in an orbit around the bale. If necessary, the bale is turned through 90° from below by means of a low supporting arm before the final stage of the wrapping operation.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant d'emballer une balle de fourrage avec un film plastique. Ce procédé consiste à faire entrer la balle dans l'appareil d'emballage au moyen de bras de travail (4), lesquels exercent une pression sur les grands côtés de la balle, laquelle est enserrée entre des plaques de serrage (10) se trouvant aux secondes extrémités des bras de travail. L'emballage de la balle dans un film plastique se fait entre les bras de travail, soit par rotation de la balle au moyen des plaques de serrage (10) et d'un organe de rotation (11), soit par entraînement orbital des rouleaux (7, 8) de film plastique autour de la balle. Si nécessaire, la balle est tournée de 90 DEG depuis en dessous, au moyen d'un bras de support inférieur, avant l'étape finale de l'opération d'emballage.
