The invention relates to a procedure and an apparatus for the installation of an elevator in which, at least one suspension element is fixed to the upper part of the elevator shaft, to which is fitted a suspension means used for supporting a shaft equipment during installation. The suspension means is mounted on the suspension element using a mounting tool from the top floor landing.

Selon l'invention, au moins un élément de suspension (16, 17) est fixé à la partie supérieure de la cage d'ascenseur, élément sur lequel est monté un dispositif de suspension (24) utilisé pour porter l'équipement de la cage pendant l'installation.
