A B S T R A C T The present invention relates to a procedure for manufacturing section multi-ply cardboard. According to the invention cardboard webs coated with a thermoplastic substance are heated by passing them through a flame field so that the plastic partly fuses, the cardboard webs are pressed together and rolled to become the desired section material. The cardboard webs which are pressed together, and thus the sections of multi-ply cardboard are relatively narrow; the breadth is 5-10-20-30 cm, possibly up to 50 or 100 cm.
