By means of the procedure a plastic pipe is built up progressively, the tube having a series of layers which, from the interior outwards, consist of an internal parting film, an inner skin, an intermediate resinous layer in which a fibre fleece is embedded, a number of alternately axial and tangential reinforcing layers of fibre strands embedded in synthetic resin, an outer coat and an outer parting film. The device for the implementation of the procedure includes the necessary work stations, which are positioned on a common frame. To this frame an extended shaft is firmly attached by means of a holding device.. Positioned along the shaft are a feeding and shaping device for the tube-shaped parting film, a feeding device for the synthetic resin of the inner skin, a heating device for hardening the inner skin, a feeding device for a fibre fleece for the intermediate layer, a number of feeding devices for the individual synthetic resin layers as well as feeding devices placed alternately between them for axially and tangentially disposed fibre strands used to form the corresponding reinforcing layers, and also between them circular doctor blades for stripping off excess synthetic resin, a feeding device for the synthetic resin of the outer coat, a feeding device and shaping device for feeding in the outer parting film, a heating station for initiating the process of hardening the various synthetic resin layers with attached hardening section, a drawgear with chain conveyors for advancing the plastic pipe, a mobile cutting assembly for sectioning the endless plastic pipe into commercially acceptable lengths and finally a tube support.
