Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to a procedure for establishment of the occur- rence of allergen-containing housedusts in which paper treated with an aromatic diazo compound (and where appropriate with starch) is used for carry- ing out a color reaction with an aqueous-alcoholic alkali metal hydroxide extract of housedust. The color development provides a measure of the amount of allergen present.
