Procedure for the manufacture of a forged connecting rod of the type that consists of a head (4), body (3) and foot (1), according to which: a blank connecting rod (33) is forged without head flows and including on the head and the foot at least one connecting rod boring starter, and the content of the forged connecting rod blank (33) is calibrated by pressing the forged connecting rod between two inserts (37, 38, 57, 58) inside a die (35, 55) to obtain a calibrated forged connecting rod blank (34).

Procédé de fabrication d'une bielle forgée du type comprenant une tête (4), un corps (3) et un pied (1), selon lequel: - on fabrique par forgeage une ébauche forgée de bielle (33) exempte de bavures latérales et comportant sur la tête et sur le pieds, au moins une amorced'alésage, - et on calibre en contenu l'ébauche forgée de bielle (33) par écrasement de ladite ébauche forgée de bielle entre deux inserts (37,38,57,58) à l'intérieur d'une matrice (35,55), pour obtenir une ébauche de bielle forgée calibrée (34).
