ABSTRACT In a process for cleaning construction rubble, in which dirty water is to be cleaned, the present invention proposes that after the removal of coarser and medium-sized said fractions, a separator of the sort familiar from the foodstuffs industry and which incorporated plates is used to remove fine and very fine sand. Flotation or sedimentation apparatuses can be incorporated downstream from the separator in order to remove the remaining impurities from the water. The fraction of reuseable substances, which have been removed from the water, is increased by the reduces the amount of waste that has to be disposed of.
