A Process and an Apparatus for Cooling Flue Dust Abstract Flue dust is separated from the waste gas from a pressurized fluid bed furnace, and conveyed with the help of the waste gas to a pressure-lock system while being cooled to a temperature above the water and acid dew points of the waste gas. On entering the pressure-lock system, the flue dust is separated from the gas and on leaving the pressure-lock system is moved by air and cooled to a final temperature that permits its disposal.
