ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a process far carrying out a capillary-viscosimetric determination of an inhomogeneous liquid which comprises drawing the liquid into a cylinder by means of a piston; forcing the liquid, by means of the piston, at a constant rate of flow through. a liquid-tight connection into a first tube and then via a further liquid-tight connection through a capillary; and, while the liquid is being forced through the capillary, measuring the pressure in the first tube by means of a pressure sensing device connected to a second tube projecting laterally from the first tube and being in communication therewith; and to an apparatus for use in such a process.
