-11- ABSTRACT In a process of demounting used auto- mobiles, re-usable units are manually removed and the used automobile is subsequently fixed in a de- mounting station, in which the operating fluids are col- lected, the bumpers and protective side moldings are removed, the windpanes and the roof are engaged, the pillars are severed, the windpanes are removed and the roof is removed, the instrument panel and the seats are pulled out and the tires are removed from the deformed rims of the wheels. The remainder of the body and the roof are delivered to a shredding plant.
