PRECIS L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispo- sitif de contrôle du freinage électrique pour moteur à courant continu du type dans lequel un inducteur et un hacheur sont montés en parallèle sur l'induit, entre l'induit et une charge, et l'inducteur est excité en courant par l'induit lorsque l'hacheur est fermé durant le freinage. Suivant l'invention, on dispose un dispo- sitif de shuntage en parallèle avec l'inducteur, on contrôle le courant dans l'induit au moyen du hacheur et on contrôle le courant dans l'inducteur en ajustant le débit de courant à travers le dispositif de shuntage. L'invention s'applique notamment aux moteurs de traction.
