Abstract of the Invention Cavities are filled with a foam insulating material by introducing the reaction mixture through the outlet nozzle of a mixing head which is drawn lengthwise through the cavity at a rate adapted to the rate of foaming, wherein the reactivity of the reaction mixture is accelerated during the filling pro- cedure so that the reaction mixture is foaming up simultaneously over the length of the cavity.
