The present invention provides a process for generating an aqueous solution containing at least one active bromine compound (13) comprising the steps of: electrolyzing an aqueous solution containing bromide ions so that bromate ions are formed in said aqueous solution (1); and introducing into the aqueous solution containing bromate ions an acid to generate an aqueous solution containing at least one active bromine compound (11). The present invention also provides an apparatus for generating an aqueous solution containing at least one active bromine compound. The aqueous solution containing the active bromine compound(s) generated using the process and apparatus of the present invention may be used for water treatment and the recovery of precious metals such as gold.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'une solution aqueuse contenant au moins un composé (13) actif de brome, ce procédé consistant à électrolyser une solution aqueuse contenant des ions bromure de manière que des ions bromate soient formés dans ladite solution (1); et à introduire un acide dans la solution aqueuse contenant les ions bromate, afin de produire une solution aqueuse contenant au moins un composé (11) actif de brome. La présente invention concerne également un dispositif de production d'une solution aqueuse contenant au moins un composé actif de brome. On peut utiliser la solution aqueuse contenant le(s) composé(s) actif(s) de brome et produite à l'aide du procédé et du dispositif de la présente invention, pour le traitement de l'eau et la récupération de métaux précieux tels que l'or.
