Process and apparatus for improving LED performance are disclosed in which, in one exemplary embodiment, a lamp having one or more LEDs is powered by at least one rechargeable battery that may be recharged by solar photovoltaic panel or any number of DC or AC power sources, including a car battery or household AC outlets. The power to illuminate the LEDs from the rechargeable battery is regulated by a control circuit that enables the LEDs to illuminate for at least twice the operating time for the same LEDs and the same rechargeable battery without the control circuit.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant d'améliorer la performance de DEL. Dans un mode de réalisation représentatif, une lampe équipée d'une ou plusieurs DEL est alimentée par au moins une batterie rechargeable qui peut être rechargée par un panneau photovoltaïque solaire ou n'importe quel nombre de sources de courant CC ou CA, y compris une batterie de voiture ou des sorties CA d'appareils électroménagers. Le courant permettant d'éclairer les DEL à partir d'une batterie rechargeable est réglé au moyen d'un circuit de commande qui permet aux DEL de s'éclairer pendant au moins deux fois la durée de fonctionnement des mêmes DEL et de la même batterie rechargeable sans le circuit de commande.
