ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The relative rate of flow of each component of a two- phase gas/liquid flow is measured by a process wherein a process for measuring the rate of flow of each component of a composite fluid comprising a liquid and a gas flowing in a conduit wherein successive fractions of unit volume of the said flow are isolated at a reference pressure per unit of time, the volume of each fraction is varied so that either the volume or the pressure attains a predetermined value, the corresponding variation in the pressure or the volume respectively of the fraction is measured and from this variation, the relative amounts of each component in the fraction and hence the rate of flow of each component is deduced. Apparatus for such a process includes a volumetric arrangement having a chamber and a rotating means in the chamber and arranged to delimit a number of cells whose volume varies during each rotation, and pressure pick-ups disposed to measure pressure changes therein.
