Mixed filaments (G1) containing glass fibres (GF) and thermoplastic fibres (TF) are fed to a heating device (HE), whereby the thermoplastic fibres (TF) are melted to form a bundle (BD). Following this melting, a thermoplastic outer covering (SH) is additionally applied by extrusion, which covering produces the desired outside diameter of the core element.
