- 21 - Abstract The specification describes a process for the build-up granulation of a powdered material in a fluidised bed apparatus, in which the granulating liquid containing a binder is sprayed into the fluidised bed of material to be granulated, the liquid being sprayed on to the fluidised bed from above, in counter-current to the gas producing the fluidised bed, by means of two-component flat jet nozzles. With batch sizes on an industrial scale, i.e. about 1000 kg, very uniform and dust-free granules can be produced in this way.
