The invention relates to a device and method for producing pig iron and/or pig iron intermediate products, according to which a metal-containing feed material is melted inside a melting unit (1) during which a working gas that, in particular, at least partially reduces is produced inside the melting unit (1), whereupon the produced working gas is evacuated. The evacuated working gas, optionally after undergoing a purification, is used, in particular, as a delivery gas for effecting, at least in part, a preferably pneumatic transport of an, in particular, fine particulate, at least partially reduced metal- containing material.

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé pour produire de la fonte et/ou des produits semi-finis en fonte. Selon ce procédé, une matière de charge contenant du métal est fondue dans une unité de fusion (1), un gaz de travail, en particulier un gaz au moins partiellement réducteur, étant produit dans cette unité de fusion (1), puis évacué. Le gaz de travail évacué est utilisé, éventuellement après épuration, en particulier comme gaz de transport au moins partiellement pour transporter, de préférence de façon pneumatique, une matière contenant du métal, cette matière étant au moins partiellement réduite et se présentant en particulier sous forme de fines particules.
