Le présent procédé consiste à réaliser des mottes mise en forme sur deux faces à l'aide de plaques-modèles. Après mise en dépression des plaques, l'enveloppe scellée en contenant le matériau granulaire est, à son tour, mise en dépression par les tubes de l'armature. Les plaques sont alors retirées tandis que la dépression interne est maintenue. Les mottes sont juxtaposées et deux mottes adjacentes formeront une empreinte et leurs faces libres permettront d'en créer deux autres avec deux mottes supplémentaires. Ainsi, on obtient (n-1) empreintes pour n mottes.
