ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A process and an apparatus for treating an exhaust gas stream. The apparatus includes a spray absorber to which an exhaust gas is supplied and a rotary atomizer disposed in the spray absorber near a top portion thereof. An atomizing disk is rotatably connected to the rotary atomizer, this atomizing disk including a reservoir and outlet bores. A stationary feeder structures is provided above the atomizing disk for receiving treating agents.
