Abstract of the disclosure: Selective extraction of a component A from a solid particulate material by successive extraction treatments in a sereies of extraction zones and preferential adsorption of component A from the resulting extracts by means of a solid particulate adsorbent in n series of adsorption zones. Each extraction zone corresponds with an absorption zone in reverse serial order, and extraction liquid is circulated between corresponding zonws.
