The invention relates to a process and to an apparatus for storing stackable, sheet-like blanks delivered individually one after the other, in particular for packaging. The individual blanks are fed to an intermediate store which comprises a stack of the blanks, and the blanks are withdrawn from the intermediate store by conveying means as an essentially continuously blank stream. The withdrawn blanks are then wound onto a rotationally driven winding core to form a wound roll of the blanks.
