12 Abstract A process and apparatus for the cleaning of parts of plastics materials processing machines, especially injection moulding or spraying heads, wherein the parts aresubmerged in a heated heat carrier medium contained in a treatment chamber, a portion of the heat carrier medium is removed from the treatment chamber, pressurized by way of a pump and returned into the chamber where it is directed as a bundled jet onto the part to be cleaned. This results in a substantial reduction in cleaning time. Tomaximize the cleaning efficiency, the heat carrier medium jet is directed at least at one bore or channel opening in the part to be cleaned.
