A process for reducing the self-adhesiveness of polytrimethylene terephthalate pellets comprising the steps of: contacting melt-phase-polymerised polytrimethylene terephthalate pellets (21) having an intrinsic viscosity of a least 0.4 dl/g with an aqueous liquid (29) at a temperature within the range of 65 to 100°C for a time sufficient to induce a degree of crystallinity of at least 35% in the polytrimethylene terephthalate pellets; and a crystallisation apparatus (11) for use therein.

La présente invention concerne l'atténuation de la tendance à l'adhésion spontanée des granulés de polytriméthylène téréphtalate. Le procédé consiste à prendre des granulés de polytriméthylène téréphtalate polymérisés en phase fondue (21) présentant une viscosité intrinsèque d'au moins 0,4 dl/g, et à les mettre en contact avec un liquide aqueux (29) à une température se situant dans une plage de 65 à 100 DEG C pendant assez longtemps pour induire un niveau de cristallinité d'au moins 35% dans les granulés de polytriméthylène téréphtalate. L'invention concerne également un appareil de cristallisation (11) destiné à ce procédé.
