-25- Case No. 900605 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is described devices and a process for the separation of solids from a fluid. The devices contain a cylinder drum, the casing of which has at least one, and preferably two openings which are positioned diametrically opposite to one another. The cylinder drum is positioned with its circumference within the curve of a power driven jointed belt conveyor and a filter belt rotates between the jointed belt conveyor and the surface of the cylinder drum casing. The internal space of the cylinder drum accommodates the fluid which is to be processed and serves as the reaction and settling container. The cylinder drum is rotated either in stages or continuously during the process.
