The invention relates to a process of transferring heat from a first relatively cold medium (23) to a second relatively hot medium (22), comprising the steps of rotating a contained amount (6) of a compressible fluid about an axis of rotation, thus generating a radial temperature gradient in the fluid, and heating the second medium (22) by means of the fluid in a section of the fluid relatively far from the axis of rotation. The invention also pertains to an apparatus for carrying said process.
La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé pour transférer de la chaleur depuis un premier milieu relativement froid (23) vers un second milieu relativement chaud (22) ; le procédé comprenant l'étape consistant à faire tourner une quantité (6) contenue d'un fluide compressible autour d'un axe de rotation - générant ainsi un gradient de température radiale à l'intérieur du fluide - et comprenant l'étape consistant à chauffer le second milieu (22) au moyen du fluide dans une section du fluide qui est relativement éloignée de l'axe de rotation. L'invention se rapporte également à un dispositif adapté pour mettre en AEuvre ledit procédé.
