PROCESS AND APPARATUS TO IMPROVE THE POWER FACTOR OF COMPRESSOR-OPERATED (HYBRID) REFRIGERATORS OR HEAT PUMPS FUNCTIONING WITH SOLUTION CYCLE A b s t r a c t The process representing subject of the invention is recommended for the operation of hybrid compression- -absorption heat pumps or refrigerators with the use of medium containing the mixture of two differently volatile components well dissolving in each other. In the course of the process, during heat extraction in the first heat exchange, partly the vapour of the more volatile component is dissolved in the liquid of the less volatile component (absorption), and partly the vapour of the less volatile component is condensed (condensation), then after expansion of the medium, during heat admission in the second heat exchange at least part of the more volatile component is expelled from the solution (expulsion), and at least part of the less volatile component is evaporated (evaporation), then the medium is compressed. The novelty of the process according to the invention is that the medium is discharged from the first heat exchange as the mixture of two phases (liquid and vapour) of different concentration. Circuit of the medium cycle of the hybrid heat pump or refrigerator used for realization of the process according to the invention consists of a condenser-absorber - 2 - (1), liquid-cooling internal heat exchanger (5), pressure reducer (2), evaporator-expeller (3), pressure intensifier (4) series connected in the flow direction of the medium, and the outlet of the latter one is connected to the inlet of the condenser-absorber (1). The novelty of the apparatus is that a vapour- cooling internal heat exchanger (6) is connected between the condenser-absorber (1) and the liquid-cooling internal heat exchanger (5).
