Catalytic compositions for conversion of substituted aromatic feed materials to oxidized products comprising aromatic carboxylic acid derivatives of the substituted aromatic feed materials comprise at least two metal or metalloid elements, at least one of which is palladium, platinum, vanadium or titanium, and at least one of which is a Group 5, 6, 14 or 15 metal or metalloid. A process for oxidizing substituted aromatic feed materials comprises contacting the feed material with oxygen in the presence of such a catalytic composition in a liquid reaction mixture.

L'invention concerne des compositions catalytiques pour convertir des matières de charge aromatiques substituées en produits oxydés comprenant des dérivés acides carboxyliques aromatiques des matières de charge aromatiques substituées. Ces compositions comprennent au moins deux éléments métalliques ou métalloïdes, au moins un de ces éléments étant le palladium, le platine, le vanadium ou le titane et au moins un de ces éléments étant un métal ou un métalloïde du groupe 5, 6, 14 ou 15. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé d'oxydation de matières de charge aromatiques substituées, ce procédé consistant à mettre en contact la matière de charge avec de l'oxygène en présence d'une telle composition catalytique dans un mélange réactionnel liquide.
