-28- ABSTRACT A process and composition for deinking dry toner electrostatic printed wastepaper is disclosed. The process comprises administering a sufficient amount of a surfactant to a sample of electrostatic printed wastepaper for which treatment is desired. The composition comprises a synergistic combination of (1) aliphatic petroleum distillates and surfactants, or alternatively, (2) individual surfactants.
