A method for generating and using a share issue in credit union, said method comprising the steps of generating a share issue to satisfy applicable GAAP and regulatory requirements; issuing said shares to members; declaring a dividend on said issued shares at a predetermined frequency; recording said dividend as a liability; and paying a dividend to a member after a predetermined period of time, said period being greater than the frequency of declaring said dividend whereby tax to be paid by said member is deferred for said predetermined period.
