ABSTRACT A device for carrying out immune-chemical rapid tests, comprises a capillary-active layer of a dry, porous, non-swelling, granular material with molecular sieve properties, the pore size of the molecular sieve being such that a penetration of the soluble antibody serving for the immune-chemical detection of the antigens is possible, whereas a penetration of the soluble immune complex formed from antigen and antibody is not possible or only possible to a small extent, a process for the detection of an immune-chemical reaction makes use of the device.
