The present invention concerns a process and device for deacidifying printed or paper products of all types, in particular books. In order to avoid the so- called half-moon effect, i.e. careless handling in the region of a spine (7) owing to the narrow spaces between the individual pages, an air jet, e.g. in the form of a double jet consisting of an opening jet (10) and an active substance jet (11), is positioned relative to the book (1) such that the active substance jet and/or the opening jet is/are substantially introduced from one side (e.g. the underside) of the book (1) and discharged via the opposite side (e.g. the top). Advantageously the opening jet (10) and the active substance jet (11) are inclined towards the spine (7). The active substance jet (11) is moved relative to the book (1) by means of a pivot arm (3).
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour la désacidification de produits imprimés ou de papiers de tous types, en particulier de livres. En vue d'éviter l'effet dit de "demi-lune", c'est-à-dire d'un traitement défectueux dans la zone du dos (7) d'un livre, par suite des espaces intermédiaires étroits entre les pages individuelles, l'invention est caractérisée en ce que le jet d'air, par exemple sous forme d'un jet double constitué par un jet d'ouverture (10) et par un jet de substance active (11), est positionné par rapport au livre (1), de telle façon que le jet de substance active et/ou le jet d'ouverture soient sensiblement introduits à partir d'un côté (par exemple, du revers) du livre (1) et déchargé via le côté opposé (par exemple, le dessus). Pour plus d'efficacité, le jet d'ouverture (10) et le jet de substance active (11) sont inclinés vers le dos (7) du livre. Le jet de substance ative (11) est déplacé par rapport au livre (1) au moyen d'un bras pivotant (3).
