This invention concerns a process and a product for depositing and stacking foldable products. To this end, an endless web (4) of the foldable product (2) is folded in fanfold by a transfer device (7). Upon reaching a pre-set height, the stack (13) is separated from the web by the introduction of a cut-off knife (18) from which a knife (23) can be brought out. This knife (23) cuts a fold edge.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif servant à déposer et à empiler des produits pliants. A cet effet, une bande sans fin (4) formée par les produits (2) pliants est pliée en accordéon par un dispositif de transfert (7). Lorsque la pile (13) a atteint un niveau prédéterminé, elle est séparée de la bande, de manière qu'un couteau de séparation (18) puisse être introduit et qu'une lame (23) puisse être ressortie dudit couteau de séparation (18). L'arête d'un pli est découpée à l'aide de cette lame (23).
