Method and Device for Determining the Tensile Force for Stringing Rackets Abstract In a method for determining the tensile forces for stringing rackets, the stringing areas of which comprise parallel lon- gitudinal strings and cross strings parallel to each other, the tensile force KPL for the longitudinal strings KPL is de- termined as a function of the length LL of the longest longi- tudinal string between the racket head and frame yoke in the stringing area and the tensile force KPQ of the cross strings as a function of the length of the longest cross string LQ in the stringing area, of the length of the longest longitudinal string LL and the tensile force KPL. The tensile force KPL is multiplied by factors for the string number of the longi- tudinal strings SZL, the tension level SN, the stroke type ST and the frame hardness RH. The tensile force KPQ is multi- plied by factors for the string number of the cross strings SZQ and the stroke type ST. The factors are stored and can be selected by the user. The device for determining the ten- sile forces for stringing rackets comprises a display unit, a microprocessor and a keyboard, wherein the keyboard has keys for directly calling in the factors for the string number of the longitudinal strings SZL and/or the string number of the cross strings SZQ and/or the tension level SN and/or the stroke type ST and/or the frame hardness RH and for inputting the values of LL, LQ, SZL and SZQ.
