In order to call a casting mould with a molten metal, the latter is caused to flow into through an annular chamber into the shaped cavity of a casting mould, such annular chamber discharging along the entire external circumference of the shaped cavity into the latter. The inflow of molten metal into the annular chamber is interrupted by means of a piston, which, being borne inside the annular chamber, is capable of sliding therein. The molten metal is caused to flow across a large flow cross-section, which shortens the filling time even with reduced flow velocity.

Afin de remplir un outil de fonderie avec un métal en fusion, ledit métal en fusion est acheminé jusqu'à la cavité de moulage de l'outil de fonderie par l'intermédiaire d'une chambre annulaire qui débouche sur toute sa périphérie dans la zone extérieure de la cavité de moulage. L'acheminement du métal en fusion dans la chambre annulaire est interrompu par un piston monté coulissant dans la chambre annulaire. Le métal en fusion peut être acheminé sur une grande section d'acheminement, ce qui permet de parvenir à des temps de remplissage courts lorsque le débit est réduit.
