A method and an apparatus (6, 7) are disclosed for manufacturing a cutting tool (1') provided with at least one cutting body (3'). The base body (2) of the tool is moved in a certain direction (10), and during this time a substance (4) that contains particles of cutting material (12) is applied on a bearing surface (5') of the base body (2) of the tool by supply means (6). A heating device (7) melts the substance (4) on the bearing surface (5'), binding the substance (4) to the bearing surface (5'). The bearing surface (5') is moved section by section in the direction of displacement (10) of the base body (2) of the tool in the opposite direction to the force of gravity (G) at least during the setting time of the substance (4) applied on each section (17) of the bearing surface (5').
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif (6, 7) permettant de fabriquer un outil de coupe (1') comportant au moins un corps de coupe (3'). Le corps principal (2) de l'outil est déplacé dans une certaine direction (10). Lors de ce déplacement, une substance (4) renfermant des particules de la matière de coupe (12) est appliquée sur une surface porteuse (5') du corps principal (2) de l'outil au moyen d'un dispositif d'alimentation (6). Un système de chauffe (7) provoque la fusion de la substance (4) se trouvant sur la surface porteuse (5'), ce qui a pour effet de lier cette substance (4) à la surface porteuse (5'). La surface porteuse (5') est alors déplacée, section par section, dans le sens de déplacement (10) du corps principal de l'outil (2), dans le sens opposé à la force de gravité (G) et ce, au moins pendant le temps de solidification de la substance (4) appliquée sur chaque section (17') de la surface porteuse (5').
