ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a process for pro- ducing webs from thermoplastic materials and the device for use in the process in which a portion of the thermoplastic material is spread in a thin film on a cooling cylinder and fed to the calibrating gap between a cooling cylinder and a cooling belt. The residual material is fed onto the cooling belt and is combined with the thin film in the calibrating gap so as to form the desired web.
