A method and device for A process for removing oxide skin from cut surfaces of a thin-walled metal strip used for preparing wall material for welded pipes. The invention comprises passing the metal strip between pairs of rotating cutting tools and applying a low self-adjusting working pressure to the cut surfaces with the tools. During this process, the temperature of the metal strip is maintained below 80°C to prevent the oxide skin from re-depositing.

Méthode et dispositif d'un processus d'enlèvement de la peau oxydée des surfaces coupées d'une bande métallique à paroi mince utilisés pour la préparation de matériaux de paroi de tuyaux soudés. L'invention comprend le passage de la bande métallique entre une paire d'outils de coupe rotatifs et l'application d'une faible pression d'utilisation auto-réglable pour couper les surfaces avec les outils. Pendant le processus, la température de la bande métallique est gardée à moins de 80.degrés.C pour empêcher la peau oxydée de se redéposer.
