A process for repairing a cylinder of a printing machine while the cylinder remains installed in the printing machine is disclosed and comprises the steps of: installing a cross slide rail in the printing machine parallel to the cylinder to be repaired; removing a cylinder jacket to a base diameter with a tool mounted on the cross slide rail; degreasing the cylinder surface; blasting the cylinder surface; preheating the cylinder surface; applying a thermal spray coating to the cylinder surface; polishing the coating; and sealing the coating.
Un procédé pour réparer un cylindre de machine à imprimer alors que le cylindre demeure en place dans la machine à imprimer comprend les étapes suivantes: installer une glissière transversale dans la machine à imprimer parallèlement au cylindre à réparer; enlever une chemise de cylindre à un diamètre de base à l'aide d'un outil monté sur la glissière transversale; dégraisser la surface du cylindre; nettoyer au jet la surface du cylindre; préchauffer la surface du cylindre; appliquer un revêtement par pulvérisation thermique sur la surface du cylindre; polir le revêtement; et sceller le revêtement.
