Abstract Redundancy is added to the data (D, h, v) mixed- in in the form of alphanumeric symbols, in that the data is combined with a defined algorithm and a test informa- tion item in the form of an alphanumerically displayable test symbol (P) is obtained therefrom. This test symbol is likewise mixed into the image (DF). Upon processing of the mixed-in data (D, h, v) using the same algorithm, a test symbol is likewise obtained, the agreement of which with the mixed-in test symbol (P) demonstrates the correctness of the mixed-in data. Use for data security in systems for automatic speed monitoring, especially in photographing radar speed measuring systems. (Fig. 1)
