A process and device for the manufacture of plastic fiber boards made of balls of expanded glass, expanded clay, pumice granules, mica, or a similar material and a foamed organic binder, such as epoxy resin, PU phenol resin, or the like. The binder is mixed with the balls, foamed, and hardened in a matrix space formed between two mold plates positioned at a distance one from the other. In order to obtain a particularly light but stable plastic fiber board, uniformly distributed recesses opening toward the internal sides of the plates are provided to contain the mixture located between the two mold plates during compression and before hardening. The device employed to implement the process includes two mold plates, which are brought together in a press to compact the introduced mixture therebetween. The inner surface of each mold plate is provided with a plurality of uniformly distributed, conical mold bodies whose cross-sections running parallel to the mold plate surface decreases in the direction of the other mold plate.
Procédé et dispositif relatifs à la fabrication de panneaux de fibres plastiques constitués des matières suivantes : verre mousse en billes; argile expansée; granules de pierre ponce; mica ou matière similaire; liant organique mousse, par exemple de la résine époxyde, de la résine phénolique PU ou une autre substance semblable. Le liant est mélangé aux billes, expansé, puis durci dans un espace formé entre deux plaques de moulage espacées l'une de l'autre. Pour obtenir des panneaux de fibres plastiques particulièrement légers mais stables, des rainures sont réparties uniformément sur la face intérieure des plaques et servent à contenir le mélange entre les deux plaques de moulage pendant la compression et avant le durcissement. Le dispositif utilisé pour réaliser ce procédé consiste en deux plaques de moulage pressées ensemble pour comprimer le mélange introduit entre les deux plaques. La surface intérieure de chaque plaque comporte plusieurs éléments de moulage de forme conique qui sont répartis uniformément et dont les sections transversales, qui sont parallèles à la surface d'une plaque de moulage, s'atténuent en direction de l'autre plaque.
