2084784 9118823 PCTABS00008 The invention relates to a process and a device for sterile bottling of beverages. In the process according to the invention, a bottle advanced to the dosing element is sterilized by passing steam into it through a steam feed pipe. All stages (CO2, rinsing, prestressing, removal of exhaust gas, hot steam supply) are carried out using the steam feed pipe. During bottling, the steam feed pipe bathes in the liquid to be bottled. Firstly the steam is fed into the bottle to sterilize it, then the bottle is rinsed with the prestressing gas. Finally the bottle is prestressed with inert prestressing gas before it is filled under pressure.
