A process and a device for the transmission of data on an aircraft. The system is embedded on an aircarft with an avionic type device, an operator interface and a data transmission link capable of connecting together the device and the interface. Moreover, the device and the interface are adapted to transmit the complete numerical value in the form of a corresponding text message. The device includes a calculator to convert automatically a numerical value to a corresponding text message and vice versa, as well as a detector to detect automatically any anomaly in the transmitted text message.

Le système qui est embarqué sur un aéronef comporte un dispositif de type avionique, une interface à la disposition d'un opérateur, et une liaison de transmission de données susceptible de relier ensemble le dispositif et l'interface. De plus, le dispositif et l'interface sont formés pour transmettre toute valeur numérique sous forme d'un message textuel correspondant, et le dispositif comporte un calculateur pour réaliser automatiquement, dans les deux sens, la conversion entre une valeur numérique et le message textuel correspondant et un détecteur pour détecter automatiquement une anomalie d'un message textuel transmis.
