ABREGE Le procédé consiste à faire circuler, dans un récipient contenant les germes pendant un temps T1 un mélange gazeux ternaire comprenant environ 5 % d'anhydride carbonique, entre 3,5 et 5% d'hydrogène, le complément étant de l'azote, puis d'obturer de façon étanche le récipient contenant ce mélange gazeux, avantageusement sous légère surpression. Ces opérations sont effectuées de façon automatique par un ensemble comprenant une ligne d'amenée de gaz et une ligne de sortie de gaz munies chacune d'une électrovanne placées sous le contrôle d'un dispositif de commande électronique.
