Procédé pour la fabrication d'un fil élastique à base d'élasthane, caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste en continu et sur la même position de travail: dans un premier temps, à assembler à une torsion inférieure à cinq cent tours/mètre (t/m), et sans résultante de torsion; un fil élasthane nu tendu avec un fil synthétique multifilamentaire partiellement étiré; puis, dans un deuxième temps, à faire subir à ce fil assemblé un étirage complémentaire à chaud pour compléter l'étirage résiduel, d'une part du fil multifilamentaire partiellement étiré, et d'autre part du fil élasthane tendu; et enfin, à renvider le fil élastique obtenu.
