ABSTRACT Process and reagent for the determination of fructosamine in body fluids The present invention provides a process for the determination of fructosamine in body fluids by the reaction of a sample solution with a colour reagent, wherein the sample liquid is mixed with a buffer solution with a pH value of from 9 to 12, a colour-forming reagent and uricase, as well as with at least one detergent, and the chronological change of the extinction is measured kinetically in a temperature range of from 20 to 40°C. at the earliest after 5 minutes. The present invention also provides a reagent for the determination of fructosamine in body fluids, containing a colour reagent and an oxidising-acting enzyme, wherein it contains a buffer substance with a pH value of from 9 to 12, a colour-forming compound, uricase, as well as at least one detergent.
